In looking over my instructions I notice you use the words "do not hurry, the schools will not commence before 1st of October."

To show you how necessary I have found it to move expeditiously since arriving here, - had I failed to have reached New York when I did, and been one day later, I could not have seen Rev. Mr. Whipple and other business representatives of the Association, as they were leaving the City for the summer, and several weeks would have elapsed, before I could have met the gentlemen, and arranged for the matters pending. As it is, the great portion of the business is now completed, and any matters of detail can be arranged from Galveston by correspondence hereafter.
