D. J. R. Ushikubo, Esq.,
C/o Messers. Yamanaka & Co.,
New York City.

My dear Mr. Ushikubo:--
I have your good letter of July 20th, and am pleased to hear from you. You are very good to let me know of your interview with Mr. Ives, and I shall profit by your suggestions concerning the introduction of pieces of old bronze in the room containing the exhibition of pastels. I shall write Mr. Ives, expressing my strongest opposition to the introduction of anything new in our little room.
I am leaving for New York this afternoon and may have a chance to see you for a few minutes tomorrow. I go to Boston on Sunday and from there to my farm.
With all good wishes,
Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
