Dear Mr. Freer:--
This morning's mail brought the following letters:-
No. 1 from Mr. Watson Freer,
2 from Ellwanger & Barry.
There was also received a letter from the Agent of the Wells, Fargo Express Company, San Francisco, transmitting consular invoice, bill of lading, etc., covering two cases of Screens, Kakemono, etc., Shipped by Mr. Kobayashi on the S.S. "Mongolia", sailing from Yokohama June 25th, via San Francisco and Southern Pacific Railroad. The papers seem to be in proper form for entry.

We had a very heavy rainfall yesterday evening shortly after the time of the departure of your train, and to-day is very cool.

Nothing new here.

Yours very truly,
JM Kennedy
