London.

My dear Sir:--
I returned this morning from a few days absence in the East, and the present is the first opportunity I have had to reply to your good letter of the 19th instant.

As named in my previous letter, I am glad you succeeded in closing with Lord Battersea for "The Gold Screen", and I take pleasure in handing you herewith enclosed draft on London payable to your order for £300, being your commission on "The Gold Screen". I trust that ere this the picture has been shipped, and that I shall soon have the pleasure of seeing it here.

My telegraphic address is "Freer, Detroit, Michigan", and a telegraphic communication so addressed will always reach me promptly.

The summer is flying by very rapidly, but I am in the midst of many pleasurable things.

Hoping you are very well, I remain, with kind regards,
Yours very sincerely,
Charles L Freer
