#33 Ferry Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, April 28th, 1904. Charles F. McKim, Esq., c/o McKim, Mead & White, #160 Fifth Avenue, New York City. My dear Sir:-- In addition to the letters sent to Chairman McCleary and Congressmen McCall and Lucking, I sent a joint telegram with my friend, Mr. Ellwood T. Hance, to Congressman Lucking, yesterday, urging to do his best to bring about an immediate action on the Academy bill. The result of Congressman Lucking's work is shown in copies of telegrams enclosed herein. His latest message, you will observe, shows that the report has passed the Committee, you will observe, shows that the report has passed the Committee, but that the Speaker refused it recognition. It is doubtful if anything more can be done this session, but it is a pleasure to know that the bill is on the register for action during the next session of Congress. Yours very respectfully, Charles L Freer
