States on the 27th of Feb'y 1867, Jim Sanders (Col) while working for Kemp Rutherford (Col) one Mile from Salisbury Hardman County Tenn was arrested by one Dept Gatlin under authority of a writ issued by Kerd Redfling an acting justice of the Peace of Tippih [[Tippah]] County Miss and taken there, as alleged to Work out a Contract for 1867, but which Saunders denies having ever made. Requests that the case be investigated and the guilty parteys punished
