Chrm. 2433 Nichols Ave. - S. E. Washington 20, D.C. My dear Dr. Qualls: I have before me your letter which I know is a direct answer to my prayer. I have been praying for such an organization as yours to help us with the Douglass work. I did not know that you were really organized and there so near the home. May I say first of all, "God bless you all in this fine work". This kind of work, such as your organization is doing, is the very thing I have been praying for I have wanted for a long time what I call, "A Citizen's Committee" in every city or town where our National Association has members. I want the public to help too. I want good men who understand and care. Reading the list of your membership I am overjoyed because every member on the rostra of your organization is just what I want. Truthfully I can say in my hears, "Thank God, here they are." I have so much I would like to tell you but time will not permit me at this writing to say all that I wish to say.
