The N. A. C. W. President Gaines has promised to release the $2,000.00 to purchase the furnace. Mrs. Gregory secured some bids for the furnace. I O.K.ed the bid which most of us thought best. I took it to Mrs. Gaines in February to get her O.K. too. I also O.K. a bid for granitoed flooring to be put under the furnace, etc.

I talked over long distance some time ago to Mr. H. Robinson who promised me he would see you. You and he may please supervise this work for the Trustees please, Excuse per which is new and does not work well.

I do not know what is holding up the bid on the heating plant is as I have signed the contract for the same. Mrs. Gregory informs me that she has sent the bids to Mrs. Gaines for her O.K. As soon as I feel out more I will let you know.

Mrs. Gregory wanted me to release to the Afro-American the plans but I want the money in hands and the work begun before this is done. I am anxious that this work goes forward soon.

I have the film ready to send you when you want it. Mrs. Gladden the secretary of the Trustee Board wants to use it for her state Convention early in June so you get it back in time for that.

Hoping I have answered all your questions, I am awaiting your call for the film and the greeting from you for my state program very soon.

Most sincerely,
Emma I. Dickson
