The Co-ordinating Committee of Anacostia and Vicinity Washington 20 D.C. 2433 Nichols Ave. S.E. My dear Dr. Qualls: I received the clipping and your note before I left for my state convention. I was so very busy I could not write you then. May I thank you and your Committee for all that you have done and may do to help us with the Douglass work. For the fine way you have found means and time to do the painting of the Douglass Home, we are preparing a Life membership for you. We are happy to give you this Life membership into the Douglass Ass'n. We hope you will like it and that some of the other people of Anacostia or Washington will raise $100.00 for a life membership too. The money could be used on the roadway or the basement floor which must be done before the furnace is put in. When we received the bid on the furnace I signed it and Mr. Gregory mailed it to Mrs.Gomes for her O.K.
