The Minister, Officers and Members of the Campbell African Methodist Episcopal Church, are grateful to the Coordinating Committee that our attention has been called to the observance of the 139th Anniversary of the birth of Frederick Douglass. We pause at the Shrine of one of America's great statesmen. The unselfish service rendered to all persons regardless of color or thought of personal gain, was deep in the flesh and even in the frame of Douglass. We humbly pray that, that spirit will continue to dwell within our hearts.
