General

The commissioner desires to settle all business connected with abandoned lands & "Confederate property" as rapidly as possible; & therefore directs that the property reported as a Tanning & Steam Mill on San Antonio River. be advertised for sale, in accordance with Sec. 12 Act of Congress passed July 16 1866; unless there is in your view some serious obstacle in the way.

The sale may be made about the 10th of Dec., And you are authorized to dispose of all "Confederate property" now held by this bureau in Texas.
