The undersigned citizens of Anderson County, Texas, would respectfully represent that they are well acquainted with the Revend John J. Harris, who sent to you a complaint against John H. Morrison of the Freedmen's Bureau of this place. Mr. Harris is a citizen and minister of the Gospel of high character, and possess so far as we know the undivided respect and confidence of this entire community, as a man of integrity, truth and great moral worth; in whose statements you may have the fullest reliance.
