Enclosed report of Jno. H. Morrison, Sub Asst. Commissioner, Palestine, Texas, giving an estimate of the value of confiscated property in Anderson Co. in that state. Also, extract of the report of Wm. H. Sinclair Inspector, concerning the same property in April 1867.

Says that the title to same is thought to be good. Copies of last deeds to the "Confederate Government" taken by Gen. Howe. Recommends that the property be sold, in case the amount estimated, or thereabouts can be realized.
