Sir:
We enclose for your information, respecting the case of Chas Schmidt, another letter received by us from W. H. Crank Esq., dated the 1st inst.
It refers to Judge Fayle, a member of the Convention now in session at this place, from whom it appears you can obtain full and clear information respecting the accusation and proof against Schmidt.
Judge Fayle, it appears, tried the case as Judge of the Criminal Court of Houston.
Very Respectfully
