She gives the names of several freedmen residents of Columbus and vicinity to substantiate her statements. Names are Uncle Ben. Williams and wife. Spott Wooleger on Don Turners plantation his brother Henry and many others. She states everything so specifically I cannot doubt it is all true. If only half were true he would be a disgrace to mankind who would treat human beings thus situated as these two people have been.
