P.M. when the whole command marched down to the Jail and guarded it until morning.

In the morning the prisoner was taken from the Jail by the constable and taken to the mayors office. I accompanying him with a guard of eight men.

The case was tried before Mayor Tobler, Mr. walker state attorney and Mr. Saunders attorney for defendant. A copy of the affidavit on which the prisoner was tried is appended
