Mr Beavers then said I will send you to jail. Mr Sayers then said, Send me to jail, Mr Beavers then broke up his Court in an excited manner & went off using loud & boisterous language. Mr Sayers had no answer, offered no violence, nor did he use any threatening language_ I saw nor heard anything from Mr Sayers that could give any court offense_ Mr Sayers used no profane language, nor did he refer in any manner to the military authorities_ Mr Sayers, several times during the trial, expostulated with Mr Beavers on account of his refusing to go into an investigation or give the defendants bail & read to Mr Beavers the law upon the subjects, nor did Mr Sayers become at all excited until Mr Beavers refused to require Mr McGinnis [[strikethrough]] to go into an investigation or grant bail [[/strikethrough]] to reduce his application for continuence to writing, & to give the defendants bail or go into an investigation_ I have known Mr Sayers for fifteen or sixteen years, & have known him to be a quiet reliable & law abiding citizen_
