Personally appeared before the undersigned authority J. G. Weaver, who being by me duly sworn upon oath says.

That on the 4th day of June AD. 1868, he was at the Court House, and at the time Mr. J.M. Beavers said to Mr. Sayers I fine you ten dollars he was standing at the door of the room in which Justice Beavers was holding his court. Affiant further states that he had been looking for Mr. Jones the Sheriff, and was at that time looking for him but not finding him in justice Beavers Court room, [[strikethrough]] he left [[/strikethrough]] left said room [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] being up stairs, [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] and went down the steps [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] where he found the Sheriff, and on telling him my business he told me. to wait few. moments, and in fifteen or twenty minutes, he and Sheriff went up stairs togither, and when they got up into the main Court room, saw Mr Beavers in the room. And the first and only order from Mr. Beavers to the Sheriff was "Mr Sheriff take the prisoners to jail"
