Personally appeared before the undersigned authority, Robt Gill who being by me duly sworn, on oath says, he was present in the Jury room on Thursday the 4th day of June 1868 during the sitting of Justice Beavers Court, having been summoned to assist in guarding the Prisoners Weaver & others by Jno P Jones Shff of Bastrop County. Affiant further states that he heard the fine of fifty dollars imposed by Justice Beavers on Maj Sayers and Affiant further states that Shff Jones was not in the room and that he Affiant was in a position to see and hear and knows if the Shff had been in the room or at the door he could have seen him. Affiant further states that after Justice Beavers had adjourned his Court he Affiant saw Justice Beavers meet Sheriff Jones just outside the door & heard him say "Mr Sheriff take the Prisoners to Jail" The Sheriff immediately entered the jury room and spoke to the guard to take charge of the Prisoners, and the Shff, guard and Prisoners went to the Jail.
