Gentlemen:-
Referring to the proposition of Messrs Batchelder & Wasmund, dated October 10th, under which they propose to build a wall 47 ft. long and 9 ft. high on my property, complete, for the sum of Seven Hundred and Six Dollars, ($706.00) You are hereby authorized to accept the same with the following understanding:-

The wall to be 18" thick with 20" coping including a pier at the end to be about 2 ft. square. The details of which are to come later from Mr. Eyre. 

The Hudson River Blue Stone, required for one side of the wall and for coping and pier, is to be furnished by me. Practically all the stone required, is now in the rear of my building and is to be used for this purpose. 

All mortar, labor of stone cutting and setting, etc., is to be furnished by Batchelder & Wasmund. 

You are authorized to make the contract and superintend the construction of the work.
