Mr. F. A. Hesse,
Care, Detroit Cornice & Slate Co.,
#145 - 147 Antoine Street,
Detroit.

Dear Sir:-
I am in receipt of a letter from Mr. Eyre's New York Office relative to the apparatus for opening the ventilating sash in Mr. Freer's gallery, which reads as follows:-

"The sky-light operator for opening ventilating sash should be procured from, Lord & Burnham Company, 26th and Broadway, New York City. This is included in the Detroit Cornice & Slate Co.'s contract. When they request price or place order for same from these folks they should tell them to get a detail from this office, in order that correct kind and sizes should be shipped them from here.

Should show solid brass rod and wheel in room or could be black if desired."

When ordering, therefore, will you kindly inform the Lord & Burnham Company as to the detail to be procured from Mr. Eyre's New York Office. The address of which is #35 West 21st Street.

Mr. Freer wishes the rod and wheel to be of brass.

Very truly yours,
JM Kennedy
