Mr. B. Kobayashi
Care, Hotel Imperial,
Broadway & 32nd St.,
NEW YORK CITY.

Dear Sir:-

The screen by Kenzan and the Kakemono by Sotan have been received in good condition. Herein, please find on New York payable to your order check for Three thousand One hundred dollars, ($3,100.00) in settlement for the same. Kindly receipt the voucher herewith and return the same to me at your early convenience.

Of the goods you have with you in New York, the only piece I care for is the Kakemono by Hokusai, showing the large breaking wave. Should you care to reduce the price on this Kakemono to, say, Five hundred Dollars, I would purchase it. I am glad to know of the large sales you have already made in this country,

With kind regards,

Very truly yours,
Charles L. Freer
