Detroit, Michigan,
October 24th, 1905.

My dear Sir:-

Your letter of recent date is received, and I am glad to know of your safe arrival in Boston.

Now, concerning the paintings you have cosigned to my care in Detroit. I would say, that on arrival here I will have them cleared through the Custom House and make an early examination of them. If any of them prove interesting enough to add to my collection I shall be pleased. If, however, they are not good enough, then they will be forwarded to you to,- #372 Boylston Street, Boston, as requested.

I am pleased to know that in a short time you will be ready to take up the translation of Ninagawa's work on potteries. The books will be sent by express about October 31st, as you requested. I am glad that you can undertake this work for me as I have long wished for a literal translation of Ninagawa's text.

Trusting that you keep very well, I remain, with best wishes,

Sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
