#33 Ferry Avenue,
Detroit, Michigan,
October 25th, 1905.

My dear Sir:-

In reply to your letter of October 23rd.

It will give me pleasure to see you in Detroit any time most convenient to you, prior to November 4th. As after that time I am likely to be absent from Detroit for a week or ten days.

It would please me to show you my collections but, unfortunately, they are at present very much scattered. My house is now being re-built and, consequently, many of the paintings are in storage in various places. A few, however, are still at home and can be seen.

I deem it proper to mention these facts in advance so that you may know that the present time is an unfortunate one to see the most important of the paintings in my care.

I appreciate the kind remembrance of Mr. Coates and will thank you to extend to him my warm regards.

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
