My dear Sir:-

Your good letter of October 31st is received and carefully noted.

Inasmuch as your brother is still in Paris and as it will take some time to learn from him the price of the little piece of pottery, No. 6 of his shipment to me, I am sending you, enclosed herewith, a check for Seven Hundred and Fifty ($750.00) Dollars in payment for the Bowl, No. 2 and the Bottle, No. 3, as per enclosed voucher, which kindly receipt and return at your early convenience.

I am, also, enclosing herewith a memorandum of the freight and duty paid on the shipment, for which you can remit at your convenience. As soon as you hear from your brother about the price of the piece of pottery No. 6, still here, we can adjust settlement of that.

I am now planning to be in New York within two weeks and when there I shall be pleased to call upon you and see the pieces of pottery mentioned in your recent letter.

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
