Gentlemen:-

Referring to the conversation had with your Mr. Sisman by telephone this morning.

I beg to enclose herewith a letter received from Messrs. Philip Christa & Sons, dated November 6th, in which they offer to furnish, set complete, the necessary marble base for the gallery now in course of construction at my house.

I prefer to use the Green Verd Antique marble for which Messrs. Philip Christa & Sons charge Two Hundred and Ninety-seven Dollars, ($297.00), including the setting.

Will you please abandon the use of the pine base-boards, as specified, and substitute the marble, therefor. The extra cost of same to be added to your present contract price.

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
