Gentlemen:-

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 8th instant, quoting Two Hundred and Ninety-seven Dollars ($297.00), for the Green Verd Antique marble required for the base of the walls in the gallery now being built at my house. This price is satisfactory, which I understand includes the work set complete.

The original specifications required the use of pine, and was included in the contract with The Vinton Company. Hence, I have felt it better to let The Vinton Company deal with you direct for the marble. And I have requested them by telephone to accept your proposition - which I have this day mailed to them. Mr. Sissman will see you about it and complete the contract with you.

Trusting this will be satisfactory, and hoping there will be no delay in delivering and setting the marble, I remain,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
