My dear Mr. Evans:-

I wish to thank you for the kind attention shown me by yourself and your Mr. Hallowell in connection with the purchases of linen made last week. I enclose herewith check on New York, amounting to $250.37, in settlement of the account, which kindly accept with my appreciation.

I bought a roll of glass cloth as a sample of material for wall covering, but I find that it is not as well adapted to that use as I had thought it would be. I can, however, use the cloth for another purpose, but I shall not require the additional quantity which I spoke to Mr. Hallowell about.

Will you kindly inform him accordingly, and greatly oblige,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
