much finer than I had originally supposed, I felt a renewed interest in it and asked at what price it could be purchased. I was then told that it was held at about £ 5,000, so I dropped the matter at once. 

Now, we will see what happens!

My wish is that it may fall into the hands of some one who will give it affectionate care. It is a museum piece as you know, and I am wondering if any museum will have sufficient interest and brains to buy it. 

My last two days in New York were very busy ones and I had no chance to look you up again.
