Dear Mr. Marchant:-

Thanks for your letter of November 28th.

After due consideration I have decided not to bid on the Irving Portrait, which is to be sold at Christie's on the 16th instant. Hence, I cabled you this morning as follows:-

"Irving nothing."

Matters here are progressing nicely, but I am having an unusually busy time.

Hoping you are keeping very well, I remain,

Sincerely yours,
Charles Lang Freer
