Mr. Matsuki. #2. 12/11/05.

I trust they will reach you promptly and in good condition.

I am called to Washington tomorrow, and shall be absent all the balance of this week.

Trusting you are keeping very well, and thanking you for your courtesy of permitting me to see the screens and the Kakemono, I remain,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer

P.S.
Mr. Kennedy advises me the freight on your screens was pre-paid to Detroit. He, however, paid the duty and in due time will render you a bill therefor.

The pair of screens by Koran of course [[?]], but not particularly interesting to go with the greater things already in my collection. I must keep the standard high.
