his men on the floor on Monday, but will do the very best he can.
I am pleased to inform you that Emma Ross has been delivered to her brother. Upon reaching the office the morning after you telephoned me at the house, I looked up Morpeth, the place where her brother lives, and found that it was not a railroad station, nor was it near either the Grand Trunk or C. P. R. The nearest railroad point is Ridgetown, on Michigan Central distance about five miles. And as there was no train leaving here between 9:30 in the morning and dark in the afternoon, I thought it best to keep Emma here until the next morning. Indeed, I concluded that the best thing to do would be for the Chef to accompany her to Ridgetown, and if her brother, to whom I telegraphed to meet the train at Ridgetown, failed to be there, to take her to Morpeth. So yesterday morning the Chef and she went on the 9:30 Michigan Central train at Ridgetown, where they found her brother awaiting them. The chef told her brother her condition, and placed her in his possession, the Chef returning here on the afternoon train.
Trusting you are well.
Very respectfully yours,
Jm Kennedy
