Dear Sir:--
On returning from a trip to Washington and New York I find your letter of December 13th, and note same carefully. The piece of Kenzan pottery I am pleased to purchase at the price named in your letter, namely:- One hundred and Twenty dollars. And I enclose herewith a draft on Boston, payable to your order, in settlement of the account.

The Sesshiu Kakemono I have decided not to purchase. I, also, feel that I had better not take the Kakemono of the peonies, by Sotatsu. Further consideration of the Sotatsu Kakemono has confirmed the feeling that because of the rubbing of so much of the paint from the silk, I would not care to purchase it at Two hundred and Fifty dollars.

Hoping you are very well and wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I remain,

Very truly yours,
Charles L. Freer

P.S. The Kakemono by Sesshiu will be sent on to your Boston address by American Express, charges pre-paid.
