Since my last letter I have had sufficient leisure to re-examine very carefully all of the balance of your collection now here, and from the lot I have selected the following two items:-
One Kakemono by Tsuneyuki.
price $60.00 less 50%.......................$30.00
One Small Six-fold Screen by Zucho, price $50.00 less 50% ....................... 25.00
From the total $55.00 I have deducted the amount due me from you for freight and Customs duties paid, amounting to $36.85, leaving a balance of $18.15 due you, for which amount I enclose herewith draft on Boston, payable to your order. Kindly receipt voucher and return to me at your early convenience. All of the balance of your things, as follows, will go to your Boston address by American Express either this afternoon or tomorrow, namely:-
Twelve Paintings, on paper, by Korin.
One two-fold Screen by Watanabe Shiko.
One Small Album of twelve Paintings by Kenzan.
One Album, twenty-four fans, by Korin.
Two Small Kakemono, maple tree and plum tree, by Korin.
