My dear Mr. Morse:-

I unpacked the pottery purchased in Paris, yesterday, and yours will go to your address, by express, to-day. I hope it will reach you in perfect condition. The amount of duty paid, as nearly as I can figure it, is $7.20; for which, you may send me your check any time at your leisure, or wait until sometime when you come here.

To-day, telegrams came from both Kobayashi and Yamamoto from San Francisco, where they have just arrived. Yamamoto says he will be here on Wednesday next, but Kobayashi does not give me his movements, but I fancy he too, will be here next week.

I suppose that when Kobayashi learns of my views of his collection, he will throw a first-class fit.

Yamamoto's things are not yet here, so I know nothing of either their quality or price.

I see a lot of fun ahead!

With all good messages.

Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
