Mr. Ramond C. Davis,
Librarian, University of Michigan,
Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dear Sir:-

Referring to your letter of May 4rd, and my tentative reply made thereto on June 12th, I beg to say, that I returned to Detroit last week and [[strikethrough]] have [[\strikethrough]] searched my library in the hope of finding a second copy of Witenagemote Paper No. 3, but regret to tell you that I failed.

I have but one copy of this very rare little booklet, and the only chance of getting it known to me, is the possibility of Dr. F. W. Mann of this city, having an extra copy. He is now traveling in Europe, but will be home again next month, when I shall take pleasure in showing him your letter of May 3rd. I can say in advance, that if he possesses an extra copy, he will be pleased to add it to the University library

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
