States that great excitement prevails at that place, that h was going to Hempstead to be present on the 4 of July, but on Friday night he was aroused by a squad of freedmen who stated that a freedman had been murdered by a white man and wanted a warrant for the arrest of the murderer, which he refused. has issued a warrant and placed it in the hands of the J.P.
