Permit me to bespeak your most favorable consideration for the bearer, Mr. George V. Young, who is desirous of obtaining the situation of Sub. Assistant in the Freedmans Bureau in your District - Mr. Young is a loyal man who has served honorably in the Federal Army during the late war

Mr. Young has been Post Master in the town of Liberty Texas for some time since the war; and I can say truly that in that situation he served faithfully and promptly.
