It was now noon and the men and horses having been out several days were thoroughly expended and scarcely able to get home - On arriving at Mr. Chapman we found Mr. Young who instructed the men to go to their homes and spread the report that the murderers had been driven from the Country - Owing to Mr. Young having a fainting fit while standing speaking to the Doctor he was unable to leave for Austin till after Sunday and I came with him to return the warrant - arrived in Austin about 10 Oclock Saturday night August 15th. 68.
