late hour there were in this house Sam Houston J. Harry Johnston Eugene Houghton - Posey and an Irishman whose name is unknown - The three last left to go home leaving Sam Houston and J. Harry Johnston who shortly after left to - gether. J. Harry Johnson shortly afterwards went to the Misses O'Connor's house and commenced calling Miss Julia.

The house occupied by the Misses O'Connor is divided into two in the frame - part of which the Misses O'Connor's live the back part being occupied by Colored people - J. Harry Johnson was heard talking either to himself or to some one else in the yard and continued calling Miss Julia for some time. he went to the back of the house & there broke two windows apparently with the intention of forcing an entrance in this however he did not succeed & he returned to the front of the house - and then demanded admittance, Miss Julia O'Connor declined to admit him & told him to return in the morning - He then threatened to kill all in the house if he was not admitted and further said that if Miss Julia would speak with him she would save all their lives Miss Julia lighted
