                   AGREEMENT
                    Between
               UNITED AIR LINES, INC
                      and
             THE AIR LINE STEWARDESSES
                 In the Service of
               UNITED AIR LINES, INC.
                As Represented by the
          AIR LINE STEWARDESSES ASSOCIATION

  THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 25th day of April, 1946 in accordance with the provisions of Title II of the Railway Labor Act, as amended by and between the UNITED AIR LINES, INC., (hereinafter called the "Company") and Air Line Stewardesses in the service of United Air Lines, Inc. as represented by AIR LINE STEWARDESSES ASSOCIATION, (hereinafter called the "Association"),

                WITNESSETH:
  It is hereby mutually agreed:

                 SECTION 1
                RECOGNITION
  The Association has furnished evidence that a majority of the Stewardesses employed by the Company have designated it as their collective bargaining representative. The Company hereby recognizes the Association as the collective bargaining representative of the craft or class of Stewardesses in the employ of the Company to negotiate and conclude an agreement with the Company covering rates of pay, rules and working conditions. 

                  SECTION 2
               CLASSIFICATIONS
  A. First Stewardess.
  The work of a First Stewardess shall be the same as that of a Stewardess as defined in Paragraph B of this
