period. The service of a Stewardess may be terminated at any time during the probationary period without a hearing. In the event more than one Stewardess is assigned to the line on the same day, their names shall be placed on the Seniority List in the order of the date of their original hiring, and in the event that more than one assigned to the line on  the same day  were hired on the same day, the older Stewardess will appear first on the Seniority List as determined by their dates of birth.

C.  Seniority List.

A Stewardess System Seniority List showing the name, location, Stewardess seniority date, and the date of entering the Company's service shall be posted on the Stewardess Bulletin Board at all stations where Stewardesses are domiciled and a copy delivered to the Association. Such list shall be amended each January 1st and July 1st thereafter, incorporating changes and additions. The procedure outlined in Section 12, Paragraph A shall be the exclusive method for handling protests concerning seniority. Stewardesses shall be allowed a period of a maximum of thirty (30) days after the posting of each list in which to protest any alleged omission or incorrect posting affecting their seniority. Failure to protest such alleged omission or incorrect posting within thirty (30) days after the issuing or posting of the Seniority List upon which the alleged omission or incorrect posting initially appeared shall preclude a Stewardess from protesting same except that when a Stewardess is on vacation, leave of absence or sick leave, she shall protest any alleged omission or incorrect posting within thirty (30) days after returning to flight duty.

D.  Loss of Seniority.

Any Stewardess who resigns or whose services with the Company are permanently severed for just cause, shall forfeit her seniority rights.

E.  Transfer to Non-Flying or Supervisory Duties.

1.  A Stewardess transferred to supervisory, instructional duties or other non-flying duties directly related to Stewardship shall retain and continue to accrue seniority.

2.  When a Stewardess is transferred to non-flying duties with the Company on account of physical incapacity or injury, she shall retain and continue to accrue her seniority during such period of sickness or injury for a continuous period of three (3) years.

3.  Upon return to duty from such non-flying or supervisory duties as described above in this Paragraph E, such Stewardess shall be permitted to resume her status at the domicile to which she had previously been assigned.

SECTION 7

REDUCTION IN PERSONNEL

A.  When Stewardesses are furloughed due to a reduction of personnel the most junior Stewardess at the domicile where the reduction occurs shall, subject to Section 6-A-2, be furloughed. Furloughed Stewardesses may bid on any vacancy on the system at the time of such reduction. If there are no vacancies at that time, the Stewardesses furloughed may replace the most junior Stewardess on the system. Such transfer shall be without expense to the Company, but free contingent air transportation on the Company's system shall be furnished to the extent permitted by law.

B.  Stewardesses who transfer in accordance with Paragraph A of this Section shall have the privilege of returning to their former domiciles when the force is increased or a vacancy occurs. Such transfer shall be without expense to the Company, but free contingent air transportation on the Company's system shall be furnished to the extent permitted by law.

C.  When it becomes necessary to furlough Stewardesses due to a reduction in force, at least ten (10) calendar days' notice of such reduction will be given all Stewardesses affected.

D.  A Stewardess who has been furloughed due to a reduction of force shall file her address with the Personnel Department of the Company and thereafter shall promptly advise the Personnel Department of any change in address.

E.  A Stewardess on furlough shall not be entitled to preference in re-employment if she does not comply with the requirement of Paragraph D of this Section,
