Dear Mr. Hecker

We arrived here last evening and was pleased to receive your T/D giving condition of affairs at home.

We started from Kingston with team and buckboard last Tuesday evening and have kept pretty actively at work in driving, walking, and mountain climbing. First we visited Geo Meade, then to the Overlook and back, then on Twin Mountain, then over the Overlook, down the [[strikethrough]] Cauterskill [[/strikethrough]] PlatterHill along to West Saugerties, then to Palenville and up the CautersHill along to Twilight Park. Then to Tannersville, East Jewett, and Big Hollow
