Charges on the books for transportation I paid --- charges on the Tanjore metal work will follow the box. May I trouble you to care for these pkges? You see I am manfully keeping my resolution to make no purchases on this trip.

My sprained leg is practically well but I still treat it carefully --- Fever entirely gone --- and I hope soon to regain all that these little ills of Hindustan took from me --- mere nothings compared to what she gave me.

Tomorrow I sail in my old friend the S.S.Natal for Nagasaki -- from where I shall gradually work my way to Yokohama, stopping enroute at Kyoto to attend the opening ceremonies of the great Japanese Fair, the thoughts of which already begin to dilate the pupils of my eyes. With much love to all.

Ever yours

C.L.F.

Long hand.
