LETTER #52

Grand Hotel Continental

München, July 15 1901

My dear Colonel

[] omit []

Your two good letters of June 18th and 25th, reached me here together, day before yesterday and gave me much pleasure.

From what you wrote and from what Watson said in a recent cablegram, I think that Frank must be improving as rapidly as could be, hoped and with good prospects of regaining the use of her injure side. I am glad you decided to continue operations at Yaeger, it would have been unfortunate, I think, to have delayed them.

I find Munich rather colorless after Italy

P.S. Louise and I met Gari Melchers quite unexpectedly in the International Exhibition here last Saturday. It is in charge of the American Dept and is looking finely.
