In fact, I have been extremely busy and most instructively entertained. Not an hour has been wasted. No one ever had finer opportunities to study Mr. Whistler's work - and I shall have seen every important painting done by him after finishing my stay here and having spent a few days in Holland and France.

It is proving a delightful and valuable experience besides confirming the opinions of my own which have been gradually manifesting themselves during the last fifteen years on certain matters of beauty.

At times, I wonder and wonder why all of this charm and joy should come into my little life!

I have not forgotten Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Gardens, Richmond Park, Bushey Park; at the latter last Sunday to join in the annual celebration of the "Horse Chestnut Blossoms". And at practically all of the homes I have visited lovely gardens exist. Kidderminster, for instance, 115 acres over half of which is garden and park - private, but it's owner Mr. Tomkinson is a sort of Lord over the village.

Well, it's time to close this long-winded epistle which I will do by wishing to yourself and family the highest and best of health and happiness.

Faithfully
C.L.F.

Long hand.
