The £68.15 is for a small nude pastel drawing and five small, rare etchings all by Whistler, bought from Obach and Co.

The draft for £3,000 is for a splendid lot of 31 drawings in oil, water colors and pastels all by Whistler purchased from H. S. Theobald, an old time collector of Mr. Whistler's work. They are all framed (the 31) and are undoubtedly the finest group of his small things in existence - added to the others I already own, they will, combined, help my collection very much.

The purchases covered by the last three last named drafts will all be forwarded by W. S. Marchant and Co. in bond, to Detroit. There will be no duty, of course, on the Whistlers. Proper Custom house documents will accompany the things. Kindly let Mr. Allison pass the shipments when they arrive.

This being a sort of business letter I will close same by simply adding that I am very well and happy and hope that all goes well with you and yours.

Faithfully
Charles L. Freer

Long hand.
