has paid off the bonds.

I am glad of your declination to trade Alger-Sullivan stock for State Savings Bank. I have as much of the latter as I wish to hold. And let me add that any deal you may choose to make with Alger for Alger, Sullivan stock will be entirely satisfactory to me. Don't deem it important to cable me. Kindly use your own judgment. My only suggestion is to consult with Ed. Hauss about his views of remaining if we both sell out. I am confident Russ Alger wants Ed retained, but it may be Ed would prefer to quit if we sell.

The joint demand note given Union Trust Co. in payment for Free Press stock is all right.

With kindest regards

Always sincerely
