Our ship is very good, the eats and drinks all right, but the service wretched -However, the latter defect is nothing in these many days of bright warm sunshine and perfect sea. It's all restful and brac [[strikethrough]] y [[/strikethrough]]ing and the moonlit nights are wonderful.

Amongst our passengers there are enough people worth while to provide excellent company, for the

few hours of daily conversation which I care to spare from my rest and reading.

I feel much refreshed by the rest and comfort thus far enjoyed and am already anticipating good luck in China.
