Dear Mr. Mayer:- Referring to my letter of October second; I returned from the East last week and have at last had an opportunity to make careful examination of the etchings mentioned in your letter of September twenty-second. I find that my collection already includes exact duplicates of W-18 "Fumette": W-116 "Fruit Stall" and W-190 "Littler Salute", hence these three etchings I am returning to you by to-day's registered mail and I trust they will reach you in good condition. The remaining seven etchings I have added to my collection and am enclosing herewith draft on London payable to your order for four hundred (405) pounds, with amount covers the seven etchings I have retained, totaling four hundred and thirty-five (435) pounds, less the thirty (30) pounds which you have to my credit on account of the landscape from the Young collection.
